And My Aunt’s Gonna Start Dating Jarvis

It’s true. Desperate for the middle-aged white male perspective, the Howling Curmudgeons have added me to their comics-blogging roster. This is one more step on my road to world dominance.

As I told honcho Greg Morrow when I got the invitation, I’m especially honored because, some months ago when quietly considering a more complete market segmentation of my alters, I thought, “I wonder if I could convince the Howling Curmudgeons to take me on so I could do all my comics-blogging there.” I decided not to go that route, and as it developed, “Fanboy’s Notes” blogging has become a crucial component of what I laughably think of as this site’s revenue model. So a lot of what appears there will (with permission from the Admin) be crossposted from here. I’ll probably do the occasional superhardcore comics nerd item as original Curmudgeons content and announce it here. (In general, I pitch the UO fanboy material with an eye toward the casual fan or bemused observer. Admittedly, that’s not the case with the title of this blog entry.)

Anyway, my thanks to the Curmudgeons for the invite. I’ll try to be worthy of such august company.

And There Shall Come . . . A Comics Blogger

I feel sheepish like Hawkeye when Iron Man first sponsored him for the Avengers, in a story, I hasten to say, I know only from reprints. I’ll try to be worthy of the assemblage. First off, I want to thank…

    You have a revenue model?
    I’m confused.
