Ritual Apologies

To those caught out as false positives by Akismet, my spam filter, the last day or so, including Hesiod and my second oldest friend (in terms of duration of the friendship, I mean) Dave. Good thing Akismet isn’t president.
Akismet does a very good job of stopping genuine spam but it’s still getting more false positives than I like. My biggest complaint is that, from what I can tell, there’s no white list I can add commenters too.

GD::SecurityImage worked for me on this front. Not sure why people are using statistical analysis when a little security image works just fine and doesn’t lock out any false-positives, unless you’ve got a commenter who a) can’t read or b) has no mind.
