Fear of a Viking Planet

Iran to release three Finns detained in Gulf. You bet, baby, or the longships would sail! Obviously it was Finland’s indomitable will that cowed the Islamic Republic.

Maybe they were afraid that some upstart college kid in Helsinki would come up with an open-source Mullah, which would put the Iranians out of business.

I believe that certain strains of Sunni Islam are almost open source Mullah. Sort of like certain strains of Protestantism.

As a Catholic, I of course favor the hierarchical Shias, and also steadfastly deny that my faith borrowed anything from the Zoroastrians.

Having these religious sympathies for Iran makes me all the more disgusted that they would fail to show resolve in the face of Nordic pagans. What, do they actually fear Thor and Odin?
