Time to Go to Bed

My eyes are getting so crossed that I initially read

The incentives — ranging from £5,000 a person to £30,000 for families . . .

as

The incentives — ranging from £5,000 a person to £30,000 for fanboys . . .

which makes me wonder if Iranian Jews could earn a partial bounty by emigrating only in Second Life. Not really, but it occurred to me that we hadn’t mentioned Second Life on UO, and I’d better get a mention in before it jumped the shark, like Facebook.

Speaking of which, Joyner has some argument about why Facebook has jumped the shark that is far more confusing than the entirely sufficient, “Even the Crooked Timber guys are getting into it,” explanation.

Hey, am I rambling? Or is it you?

Kieran, you’re an economic sociologist. You win the nerd sweepstakes; not even particle physicists are as nerdy as you. Revel in your power!
