Not Getting This Internet Thing
The Tampa Tribune, based on this excerpt from Jaden Hair’s latest Steamy Kitchen entry:
Today, we recorded a Tampa Tribune podcast which will go live in October.
October? I know the pace of life is slower in resort areas, but Tampa’s not even that nice. It’s 2007, guys. Wake up and smell the instant gratification.
Good luck to Jaden on her Lasik surgery today, from her fans here in DC. The wings were awesome. Get better soon and crank out some more recipes for us.
UPDATE: On the “getting the internet thing after all” front, Jaden Hair and Jeff from the Tampa Tribune issue an immediate correction in comments below. Apparently, Jaden will be in China next month, so they recorded ahead of time. By way of making it up to Jeff, here’s what I think is a link to his podcast series. Check it out.

Ninety-nine-point-nine percent of the time, we publish immediately.
This time, we’re timing it to coincide with Jaden’s appearance on “Gulf Coast Journal with Jack Perkins,” which airs in October. She won’t be available to record it then, so we recorded it in advance.
Just wanted to clear that up.

Haven’t tried it yet, no. But next time I get a steak I will. Maybe this weekend!
I did buy Szechuan Peppercorn at the Asian market last weekend so I can make a couple of the other recipes. It was my first time shopping in Wheaton’s excellent ethnic groceries in quite awhile; I was glad for the excuse.

Oh wow–a new wings recipe! And I just bought hoisin sauce for my attempt at kung pao chicken. Clearly I was meant to make Chino-Latino wings.
