I Did Not Know THAT!!

Some 150 years ago, the British naturalist Charles Darwin proposed a theory based on various observations made during his travels, but which could not be supported by any subsequent scientific findings. In essence, his theory of evolution consisted of various scenarios, assumptions and conjectures that Darwin dreamed up in his own imagination.

Shit! From The Atlas of Creation.

Heh. I wish Creationists would just ignore everything invented/discovered through the scientific method. They’d die pretty fast and I wouldn’t have to hear from them anymore.

also, “gravity” has been revealed to be just god pushing things down…

Phil Plait found some nutcase who thought the uncertainty principle was the very root of modern moral relativism. What next? Is dark matter proof of original sin?

I thought gravity was angels pulling things down, but I guess pushing would make more sense, given the relative locations.
Unless we’re talking about fallen angels.

Nope. Gravity is simply the weight of SIN pulling us all down.

Unless you join MY Church, of course, which means you will float freely like a butterfly, staring down dourly at the unenlightened.

(I actually read somewhere, somewhen, that a “Christian” “Scientist” made this claim.)

bad Jim: I heartily recommend a fantasy trilogy by Philip Pullman-His Dark Materials. It’s written for young tweens around age 13 or so, but man some of the ideas and concepts are amazing, even for adult. “Dark Matter” is at the center of his cosmology.

Neat little trick he does, claiming the (selective) fossil record refutes evolution. Other creationists will tell you that g*d planted fossils on a Thursday afternoon in 6000BC. I guess those are the ones that don’t resemble their descendents.

I can see Kirk Cameron holding up a horseshoe crab, exclaiming, “Behold the evolutionist’s nightmare!”

Which, of course, is a Satanic lie. The fossil record resulted from hydrodynamics during The Flood. Mammals (like, uh, elephants) were able to run from the rising tide faster, and that’s why we are at top of the strata. Henry Morris established all that decades ago.

Hey, bananas weren’t cute either until they got all civilized,
