Why won’t anybody report the good news from Switzerland?

By Thoreau

The media likes to report only bad news from ethnically and religiously divided federations with high rates of gun ownership. Why won’t they report any of the good news? Like the liberalization of Swiss cheese laws? Well, at least the Economist reports the good news. Time to re-up my subscription.

Lots of loopholes in those Swiss cheese laws, I suspect.

Gruyere for internal Swiss consumption is some of the hands-down awesomest cheese in the world. I hope I can afford some of what hits the overseas market.

Why isn’t the news media reporting the good things happening in Burma? Farmers planting their fields; children playing in the streets; people buying food at the market?

Is it because they want the junta to fail?
