Since You Put It Like That . . .

Mr. John Cole takes us down memory lane, where I found maybe the aweomest RedState comment ever:

An apology does nothing in the outside world to defuse this nonsense[of Dick Durbin accurately comparing images from contemporary American interrogation practices to those of the worst regimes in history]. But a censure, an offical rebuke by his peers, essentially puts the Islamists on notice that Durbin’s remarks are not the view of the Senate and his collegues.

Because then what would the bastards do? Huh? Huh??

“Achmed! Senator Durbin’s remarks are not the view of the Senate and his colleagues.”

“Oh noes!”

[Exit Achmed, pursued by a bear.]

(NOTE: Since I stay the hell away from RedState, this may not be the true awesomest RedState comment ever.]

This is good too, from Thorley Winston:

“On the bright side, put another nail in the coffin of the chances of Democrats regaining control of either the House or the Senate.”

The “terrorists see opposition to Bush as weakness and it causes them to attack America” argument is especially absurd considering that a lot of these people simultaneously argue that the motives of Al-Qaeda are totally unimportant whenever talk of American foreign policy inciting terrorism comes up.

I believe the awesomest red state comment ever would have to describe the democrat party as the party of big government and homosexuality, but I will not be going to look for it.
