The LA Times reports that the feds are now starting to imprison illegal immigrants who return here after being deported. Previously, the practice had apparently been to just keep deporting them.
If you ask me, this is still too lenient of a policy. Make them earn their keep in prison, instead of getting room and board at taxpayer expense. They can pick crops, wash dishes, and work on construction sites.

Given the popularity of prison/slave labor in the prison-industrial complex, there’s a good chance imprisoned Mexicans are still picking crops, etc, as part of prison work gangs. The only difference is that they won’t be getting paid for it.
In the eyes of some business owners, not even illegals work cheaply enough. Prison labor is a lot cheaper.
