And the anchormen can’t stop lying

By Thoreau

Despite all our wailing and gnashing of teeth over the suckitude of the punditocracy these last few weeks (well, more than just the last few weeks, but especially recently, given the anniversary of our latest war of aggression), I think Pennywise managed to sum the problem up in one line.

You mean the clown with the pointy teeth?

Explain geopolitics, cause my 15-year-old self to question gender norms…is there anything Tim Curry can’t do?

And, just to drag Megan into it (let me know if I should let go, Thoreau), note that her recent Lancet-bashing article was not a blog post, but a regular Atlantic column, with her listed as a co-editor of the magazine. The career of yet another lying hack advances. In her case, it’s more apparent because the Broders, Cohens, Hiatt and such have largely topped out. We see only the occasional ascension of a Kristol. Megan should be good for a promotion every couple of years for another decade.
