If Thoreau hadn’t been mean to McArdle everything would’ve been ok.

Didn’t you see Bush yesterday? The fighting in Basra is actually proof that his strategy has been working all along.
Up is down, slavery is freedom, and war is peace.

As usual, I blame Dick Cheney.

“Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki in effect declared war on Shiite cleric Muqtada al Sadr’s Mahdi Army, saying he’d fight the militia “to the end” and never negotiate.”
That phrase sounds more like a Baghdad Bob phrase.

Obviously I blame the Democrats.

C’mon folks, we’ve got another 100 years to get it right, says McBush.

Obviously, I blame someone for not going for it on 4th and 6.

Nell: By now Cheney is deus absconditus or deus otiosus. He established the ground rules, set the system in motion, and need no longer intervene to keep the bloody gears turning.
He’s off paring his fingernails or somtehing.

an oldie from 2003:
FOX TROOP
The “end” of the Eye-rack war was near
And nonchalant as you please,
The White House’s flacks turned lies to facts
And trailers to W… MDs.
The papers were game to do the same,
Far lower they’d gladly stoop.
Their mandate for truth was deemed uncouth
From now on they all would be FOX TROOP!
Where cave men are thrilled
That Libs get grilled
While neocons get a free pass
And checking facts is strictly
Cheap-ass.
So now black is white and peace is strife
And crap is tomato soup.
We all love Big Brother more than life
And get all our info from… FOX TROOP!
