I mean, yeah, we should have known that weighing the same as a duck just means she’s anorexic

Friend of the blog Jennifer informs us that Connecticut has just atoned for witch trials centuries ago. She predicts that by 2350, we may have some sort of atonement for the drug war.

Although, I am informed by certain libertarian bloggers that given the state of the science at the time, Connecticut was right to be wrong, and at least those women died and went to heaven so they were liberated from the brutal Connecticut regime. What, you don’t care about their eternal happiness? Huh?

EDIT:  Title fixed.  Some of the comments won’t make sense now.  Hah!

    It’s “weighs the same as a duck.” Sheesh. ~hip -> ~VP. Wait, then the contrapositive would suggest that being VP makes you hip. And, well, Mondale / Quayle. Now, if we break it down into NANDs… I’ll come in again.

    Jennifer, having always been opposed to witch trials, isn’t really in any kind of position to explain where the witch hunters went wrong.

    Only the witch hunters themselves can offer meaingful insight into that question.

    But mds, the only way she’d be acquitted was if she didn’t weigh the same as a duck. And since the scales were obviously rigged to cancel out her weight advantage, her only hope was to somehow weigh less than a duck, which was impossible.

    But I’m not wrong, srv. We really should have known that weighing the same as a duck is just a sign of anorexia. That’s still the case even if the CT legislature hasn’t voted to admit it.

    Couldn’t you weigh ‘the same as a duck’ but be bulimic?

    (Also, out of curiosity, could you put the original title in the comments? You’re right, I don’t get the VP/hip thing at all now…)
