Spanish Bums
John Cole has links at the bottom of a recent post to info on John McCain’s coming war on Spain. I blame Prime Minister Zapatero for having such an anti-American name. Why couldn’t he have a normal, pro-freedom surname like "Maliki" or "Musharraf?"

Spanish Bums
Heh. “Koka Kola” popped up on the iPod yesterday and I was struck by how timely it was. What’s next, I wonder?

Yglesias has propounded the theory that Clash songs explain absolutely everything . . .

I think Mc Cain is more of a Kix fan. “Make love to you all nite long, listening to atomic bombs, ‘tomic bombs, ‘tomic bombs”, the song goes.
(Might not be “listening”, but is how I hear it.)
Also, the Clash have only one listenable album: Sandinista!. It’s a bit like Afghan Whigs & Cat Power, really; get away from Black Love & The Greatest, respectively, & it’s nothing good. Likewise, the further from “Washington Bullets”, the worse.

I’ll take you to Ibiza sometime, Thor. But I won’t guarantee that we won’t run into an ecstacy-trippin’, semi-nude Larry Craig at a foam party. (That Tiesto remix of the Singin’ Senators, by the way, is tops.) Tiny bubbles, indeed.
