Hey, it beats the Iraq War, War on Drugs, Detroit Bailout, Agriculture Subsidies, DoD Budget Increases, and TSA

America’s finest news network convened a panel of commentators and economic experts to debate whether the US government should continue dumping money into a giant hole.  Overwhelmingly, they agree that this must continue.
Truthfully, I can think of several programs worse than dumping money into a giant pit.
