Ladies, gentlemen, and Angry Optimist, something truly remarkable has happened today:

So loyal readers, I solicit some opinions. If I were going to donate to just one animal-welfare organization, which should it be? ASPCA? HSUS? PETA? Some other? I look forward to a delightfully civil and informative discussion on relative merits!
