Now Mr. President, Mr. President, I’ll let you give your speech, but first I just gotta say this: Beyonce isn’t fighting two wars. TWO WARS! Beyonce ain’t sent nobody to Bagram. But you go ahead and get your prize for peace, that’s cool and all, but Beyonce totally deserved it more. Add up the time your country has spent in Iraq and Afghanistan, and it’s more than 14 years. 14 years, 14 years, and he sit in office and say responsibility ain’t his? Now I ain’t saying the Nobel committee is a bunch of ass-kissers, but I don’t seem ‘em giving the prize to no broke bloke. Sorry to interrupt and all, but I just needed to say that.
Oh, and peace out to King Harald. I appreciate the invitation to this awards ceremony. I seem to have a bit of a reputation, so I don’t get as many of these invites lately.

I’m a little ambivalent about Afghanistan, but about Iraq, I feel the same way I did a year ago: Cut and run.
However, things seem to be getting worse, not better, because if you count the mess in Pakistan, it looks more like three wars to me.

What a jackass post! Pull your damn pants up!
Clearly, with one, maybe two generations of effort, tops, we can achieve something in this not-so-vital arena. I will leave it to whoever happens to be in charge at any particular moment to tell us what that something is supposed to be at that particular point in time.
I’m tired of Beyonce’s incredibly sweet ass sapping our national resolve to accomplish these vital, indeterminate goals along the lines of this ever-shifting timeline.
Victory, people! USA!

It’s a damn shame that Shepard Fairey’s ‘iconic’ “Obama HOPE poster” doesn’t have the words “for change” written under “HOPE” in ridiculously small typeface.
I think we all know that Beyonce is not a sustainable resource – just like Miley Cyrus (via The Onion)

Since we’re revisiting the Nobel, here’s someone explaining why Obama’s apparent popularity with some people overseas (and by no means all–see the Middle East) is, in some ways anyway, a bad thing–

Though otoh, some libertarians (not sure about the ones here) might see backtracking on global warming and reparations as a good thing.
